What is your athletic background?

I’ve always been active in trying out different sports, but I’ve mainly been a personal trainer since completing my National Service.
After being a trainer in the military, I started doing more endurance races. I was an avid participant of marathons, biathlons, aquathlons, duathlons and triathlons.

What is your favourite WOD?

I enjoy combination-based WODs (chippers), although I like them to be skill-based more than strength dominant. I don’t have a particular WOD that I would call my favourite, because I like the variety that the CrossFit principle provides.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

When I’m not at the box I will be spending time with my wife, Eereena. I am always trying to find a work-life balance, but I still enjoy meeting and getting to know people in our community outside of the box.
I love trying new activities as well, although it will usually be spontaneous ideas that spur my interest!

What is your athletic background?

I had been competing in track and field since I was 10.
Started off in 100m/200m sprints and converted to 400m sprints from JC onwards.
PB of 51.2 sec in my prime! Won individual Silver in Triennial University Games in the same event.
I have also been playing volleyball competitively since I was 16.

What is your favourite WOD?

I like any combination of gymnastics movements – especially HSPU and T2B. But for aesthetic fitness, would prefer to include combination of GHD sit-ups, T2B, bench presses (er… this is functional still… right, right?).
My all-time favourite WODs then have to be Stephen and J.T.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

I’ll be catching up with my reality TV series over weekend!

What is your athletic background?

I've played competitive volleyball from age of 9 years old all the way until university.
I've represented my school and country in numerous tournaments and gained much international competition exposure.
Being able to perform under pressure is just one of the biggest lesson that is applicable to CrossFit, and life in general.

What is your favourite WOD?

No particular favourite WOD in mind, but I do find myself performing well in moderate length WODs as they tend to weed out the "dashers" who start out fast but slow down considerably after a while.
I also like WODs that involve pull-up bar work, kettlebells, rowing, and burpees. Yes, burpees.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

When I'm not coaching or working out, you'll find me often out of the box and out of the country.
I am a beach enthusiast and you'll see me sipping my favourite mojitos by the beach or pool bar.

What is your athletic background?

I don’t really have an athletic background.
Had once participated as a group event in one of the Aerobics Fitness competition many many years back.
Came in third position.

What is your favourite WOD?

Favourite WOD will be Annie by far.
I love double unders and Abmat sit-ups.
Anything that doesn’t involve wall balls or thrusters, I don’t mind doing.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

I love to go to the beach if the weather is good. You will find me at Tanjong Beach, Sentosa if I’m not working on Saturday.

What is your athletic background?

I spent 6 years in competitive water sports.
2 years dabbling in sprint kayaking followed by 4 years of Canoe-Polo at tertiary level.
Won a couple of medals at tertiary level, after which I retired and tried running a few marathons.
I eventually got bored of the hours and hours of running, and decided to give CrossFit a try.

What is your favourite WOD?

No favourite WOD yet! However, I tend to like WODs with pull-ups and double unders. I am currently learning to dislike burpees and rowing less.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

I'm a foodie, and on the weekends you'll probably find me exploring new restaurants or cafes. ‪ I'm still searching for good pancakes in Singapore! ‬ I love coffee, and get really cranky without my daily cup. If I don't smile at you in the box, it's probably just me missing my daily coffee fix. And for the record, KFC is awesome.‬‬‬

What is your athletic background?

I’ve always been an outdoor person, i could never sit still as a kid and even today, i still can’t.
I dare say there isn’t a sport i am not willing to learn and play.
Over the years i’ve picked up rugby, golf, soccer, wake boarding, snowboarding, just to name a few.
Competitively, i’ve represented my high school in badminton for 3 years and trained with the Victorian team in Melbourne.

What is your favourite WOD?

I like olympic weightlifting so i would have to say WODs like Grace and Isabel.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

As an avid gamer, i would either be behind a computer screen or a tv on my PS4. if not at home, i would likely be out at a climbing gym climbing or bouldering.

What is your athletic background?

I only really started exercising after I moved to Singapore back in 2010.
A friend asked me to join him for a 10k race and as one thing led to another, 2 years later I was racing my first Ironman Triathlon.
After sustaining a back injury during a race I started looking for a form of exercise that I would enjoy more than running, swimming and cycling.
I gave CrossFit a try and haven't looked back since.

What is your favourite WOD?

Due to my endurance sports background I tend to perform better at longer workouts.
I think I would enjoy any workout with pull-ups but if I had to pick one favourite it would probably be Angie.

Where can we find you outside of the box?

I'm a software engineer by day, and when I'm not at work I'm either at the box, rock climbing, volunteering or working on a perosnal project.

F.A.Q.

Can I drop-in to any class?
We’d love for you to join any of our scheduled classes! We would greatly appreciate if you could let us know when you’re coming in beforehand; our space is small and overcrowded classes can be hazardous to everyone’s safety.

Can I just use the gym for my own training?
Yes! As long as you're comfortable with using the equipment without supervision, you are more than welcome to come in for our open gym hours.
Open gym runs in between class times, after which we kindly ask you to clear up and make way for the group class.
Please note that you are fully responsible for your own safety as well as those around you when you train on your own.
This is our home, we simply ask that you take care of it like your own!

Do I need experience before coming in?
If you’re completely new to CrossFit, give us a call or come by for a chat and we’ll explain what we’re all about.
You do not need to have prior experience, as we cater to all levels of fitness!
Having smaller classes means that our coaches can pay more attention to everyone and ensure that they receive the guidance they need.

What if I’m incredibly out of shape and I’m a little terrified about coming in?
You have our promise that you’ll be completely fine.
We’ve had people come in who were fatter, older, weaker, and probably less coordinated than you are, and they walked out of here unscathed (maybe even a little bit happier!).
Have courage, my friend.
The most important thing is that you’ve decided to do something that will lead you to a healthier life.

I have/had an injury. Can I still do CrossFit?
Many of our members have used CrossFit training to rehabilitate their injuries.
As humans we are constantly in motion regardless of any existing injuries.
We believe that learning the best and safest forms of functional movements, while gaining strength in these movements, as opposed to avoiding them altogether will lead you to long-term health.
Our coaches are always happy to work with you to work around your injuries by scaling or substituting exercises.
That being said, we are not certified physicians so it is important that you consider a professional opinion before undertaking this, or any other, exercise program.

Can I come in for a trial class before I sign up for membership?
Of course!
We usually request people to join our 8pm class on Mondays for trial sessions, as this class is smaller so you get more personal attention.
However if you cannot make this session do shoot us an email or give us a call to arrange for a different class time.

Can I sign up for a membership immediately?
If you do not have any experience with CrossFit, we request that you attend one of our Fundamentals classes, which run on alternate Saturdays, before you sign up for a membership with us.
The 3-hour class will run through what CrossFit is all about, the training philosophy, programming, proper nutrition, and you’ll even get a workout in!

But I’m super fit already! Do I really need to do a Fundamentals class even if I’ve never done CrossFit?
We require everyone to go through Fundamentals, so that we can make sure all our members learn the basics of safe and effective movement.
This also helps our CrossFit classes run smoother because you’ll already know what you’re doing and you can help everyone else stay safe!

What do I need to bring?
You only need yourself! Come in some basic workout clothes (shirt, shorts, and sneakers); we’ll provide the rest.

Do you take credit cards, cash and cheques?
Yes- we accept cash, personal cheques, Visa, and Mastercard.

Do you sell t-shirts?
We do indeed! Come by and pick yourself up something awesome.
If you’re an experienced CrossFitter, then come on in and introduce yourself! We would love to have you join our family.
